Aye! I remember you saying that. I remember watching this video many times. It is a 2006 Street Bob with Wide Glide trees. At the time I waitched it over and over I just didnt like the angles for some reason. It looks OK to me now. I'm just too damn picky sometimes. I'll drive myself crazy for no good reason, LoL!

I ordered some of these wet or dry sanding sponges. I'm thinking of using some dawn dish detergent and wet sanding the engine fins to brighten them up. I plan to detail the bike when I finish putting it all together.
I'm thinking it should work well.
They are 3 3/4" x 2 5/8" x 1". I may cut them into smaller pieces for easier handling. They would probably work well with some metal polish too. But then the metal polish gets all over the black engine paint and is a bitch to get off. That's why I am thinking of just using dish soap and rinsing. Just want to shine the edges and get the 12 years of black crud off without digging into the black engine paint. Just something to do when I'm bored and want to work on the bike. It's a slow process of making a Harley-Davidson beautiful-but it deserves it! Details matter!

You've come close to the mark on your 'muse' bike.
Also I'd leave the spokes as is, I reckon the other bike is just pixelated, not twisted spoke.

Aye, I'm going to leave the spokes as they are, and not going to put that chrome whale dick air cleaner on the bike either. I'm just waiting on the progressive springs, fork oil gauge tool, fork oil, and the lower triple tree to arrive then it's back to work.

Got the front end put back together with a fresh powder coat and some HD progressive springs. It rides so much better now. I also learned the hard way that a clunking noise from the front end isn't always the neck bearings. After redoing the fall away a couple of times I realized it was the floating rotor that was clunking, not the neck bearings. I was just about to call the dealership to have them check it out too.

I've had it about 4 weeks and so far: Throwover bags, Mustang 2-up seat, LED headlight, LED switchback turnsignal bulbs and clear lenses (not in as of the photo), Kuryakyn multi-position backrest, passenger pegs, forward controls, ISO pegs, heel rests, Ram Mount for the phone and a USB to the battery tender, HD security system and siren and the 1k service. I also just ordered a used windshield and heat guards, so those should be here next week.
