A great day ride today, cause, 'Merica! 280 miles; mounted 2 10" x 15" flags to the Bowman Welding bar, Old Glory and a Gadsden, cause, 'Merica!

Perfect weather, bikes were everywhere. It was a good day. Now, Porterhouse steaks on the grill and a few cold beverages, cause, 'Merica!

Happy 4th riders

Sucessfully re-aligned the fork after (and this is the embarrassing part) backing into it with my own car and tweaking the front end.

Went on a nice cruise today as well. Bunch of bikes out on the road and the temps were fantastic in the mountains. In town, a different story. When I rolled into my garage my PV showed my engine temp at 317*, oil temp was 275*. As much as I hate to give my money to LJs I just may do it.

Happy 4th.

'Merica!

Today I "dialed" in the new MAP and adjusted the gearshift lever downwards a tad. Charged the battery.

I finished my 500 mile break in period today. 501 miles in 3 weeks, not bad with all the rainy days.

I ordered another breather bolt, chrome spacer and o-ring set for my Wimmer Spike. Seems I didn't use enough loctite on it and lost the front one sometime during the shake in ride for my fairing on Monday (this was obviously operator error and NOT a product issue).

Sent an email yesterday asking about cost and availability and received a response today from Ryan Wimmer. I'm paying the priority mail costs but because the ac is so new, Ryan stepped up and is not charging me for the parts (even though I bought it through J&P). I've always loved the Wimmer Spike, but now I have to say that the people at the company are every bit as awesome as their products.

This is quick shout out to a really stand up guy. Thanks Ryan. Will be ordering another type of Wimmer for the kid's 08 XL1200 Custom now and will be buying it direct.

Edit to add: 2 hours and 59 minutes after I ordered it and I just received the USPS Priority shipping confirmation email. Holy crap!

4AM and I am attempting to install one inch rear lowering blocks. I have a set of 1.75" lowering blocks but I weigh too much to put those on at this time.

Pictures to come later.

Edit: here's a picture:
