What did you do to your Dyna today?

Thanks for the suggestions.
That was done at about 20 amps with a .040" electrode and .035 filler wire. Argon flow was about 20 CFH with a #5 cup. I had the unit set to 35A max but I'm not good enough to move faster yet. I'll get there. Still lots of experimenting to do with the torch (electrode dia, cup dia, gas flow, electrode shapes, etc.) It's still foreign to adjust heat with my foot and the arc still isn't as directional as a flame, but I'm diggin' it.

I usually run my argon at 12 to 14 on the flow gauge. It looks good. Just be careful with any undercutting. Tig is so much fun and soon you will master the control and heat. I max the machine out and just use my foot to control the puddle. My secret is a gold #12 welding lense. The puddle and welding arc have color so you can differentiate.
With your skills and seeing what you've done with the wideglide, I can't wait to see what you start making out of aluminum. Shaving weight is the key to better acceleration, handling, and braking.

I just replaced my old auto cartridge with a Lincoln 4C style auto cartridge. So far I'm really pleased. Good color and contrast.
The pedal that came with this unit (Everlast PowerPro 164i) is pretty sad. Not sure it has the resolution to max the unit and still be useful at the low end. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
Thanks again!

Side covers are way too light for the rest of the scoot
Talked talked to the painter - going to get em re-done

Bullshit be kind - Good job (people hesitant to try new **** never get anywhere)
Reduce the heat / steady your hand - and practice.., practice..., practice
Coordination (heat / puddle control / rod feed) + finesse = thing of beauty
