Saturday was Austin & Lockhart, Texas. Sunday was Luckenback and Fredericksburg, Texas. Way hard to beat Texas for great riding every month of the year...

Ain't that the truth... The Hill Country is BEAUTIFUL. Wish I lived a few hundred miles closer. I did, 47 years ago. Maybe I'll live there again, before I'm too old to ride. Enjoy the area. tp dd50

Does the stud thread into the frame or pass thru to a nut? The thru-hole (?) in the frame looks enormous compared to the fastener. Is there much slop prior to torque? If so, you might benefit from a steel bushing to take up the slop and move the load closer to shear. Proper torque is also going to be critical.
Here are the different assembly's, I definitely didn't properly torque it down though

Rode 300 miles yesterday in 90 deg weather.

Need a new seat bad but the shield and highway bars where great. Friend was mad every time I put my feet up LOL.

Never seen hiway bars on a Fury before, but I bet someone builds them.
