No, I like the OEM horn cover. I'll install the tank dash when it gets back from the chromer. After that I think I'll swap out the handlebars and install a set of polished aluminum triple trees off a 2008 Fat Bob. I just don't seem to be getting used to the 14" ape hangers that are currently on the bike. It feels sloppy and not in control at slow speeds(yes it has solid bushings). I think these new handlebars will feel much better.

Basically I'm copying this bike. I dig the way it looks.

I'm not putting that air cleaner on it, but other than that im going for the same look.

I have a new set of tires to put on the bike. etc.etc.etc. I'll need to get below 180 pounds to ride a bike with the lowered rear end. It will give me incentive to lose weight. I had two back to back strokes in February, diagnosed with type II diabetes, and have high blood pressure. I need to lose the weight. Both for my health and to ride the bike.

Those are nice. Had the same setup on a bagger a few years ago. Riding solo allows gear to be placed both in front of the sissy bar and behind, on the rack. No stuffing the bags to travel. Enjoy the new gear. tp dd50

Was changing back tire when the upper shock bolt snapped off inside the bike. Same thing happened a month ago to the other side when bleeding front brakes. Kind of weird I'm wondering if I have the right bolt because it's a 2009 dyna superglide on a 2006 dyna superglide frame. Anyone know what bolt would work to keep shocks on the bike. Think if I softened shocks it would help anything?
You are using the wrong shock stud for the 2006/2007 frame, the shock boss on the frame should be threaded to accept a torx bolt with a spacer, what I see is a 2008 and later shock mount screwed into a 2006/2007 frame. I hope you dont ride the bike like that, yur gonna hurt yourself.
The correct upper mount hardware is shown here...

A definite upgrade in brightness over the stock headlight. If you were going to have an issue with your CANbus not liking the light you'd have had the red electrical diagnostic on right after the install. Sounds like you're going to be good to go. My '13 is one of the outliers, the bike thinks the headlight is out when it's on low beam; keep it on high beam, all is well with the diagnostic...

Lucky me

That is pretty sweet. I was gonna pull the trigger on the Licks swingarm bag for Dynas but this has me rethinking... Hhhmmm...
