Its the tall sissy bar that is discontinued from Harley now. PN 52749-85A. I believed it is called the Tall Medallion Plate Sissy bar.

That's a nice setup. I'm interested to see what it puts down.

New rear shocks, progressive 444 12 inches, still on the box until I can get a bit of time to install them.

I worked for years both in Florida and now in Michigan with animal rescue groups and I have an absolute, iron-clad, zero tolerance policy on this subject.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Yesterday was flawless, one of the nicest days we've had this spring; 74°, light wind and sun. Took off for the north woods, rode up on the old highway to the Big Bridge then followed the Lake Huron shoreline back down. 421 mile day ride, it felt great to be out in the wind and the sun riding again; winter does take its toll on your mind, motorcycle therapy is the best cure

To answer the question has the over Wide Glide tubes caused the fuel gauge to be more inaccurate, the answer is yes. A fuel gauge on an HD, still can't quite wrap my head around that concept but I'll pull out the fuel tank sending unit and tweak it a bit and try and improve the accuracy.

Topping off the bike for the final time before she heads back in to the garage; happy bike, happy rider...

I got my Phil Birch fairing painted and mounted up. I'm really happy with it. Phil is a class act!

Wink Fluid changes...

Turned over 36,000 miles a couple of weeks ago so it was time for another oil change and to do the trans and primary as well. I do the oil and filter every 5K and the trans and primary every 10K all with Syn 3. That's how the original owner maintained my baby for the first 7 years {and 18K}, so under the heading if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

Took the bike out for a brief, 5 mile ride to warm everything up and then back to the driveway to get started. Did the primary first followed by the trans and finished up with the engine oil and filter. The primary oil came out just as expected, black but not full of crap and the magnetic drain plug was clean.

Was pleasantly surprised when I drained the trans as the oil came out about as clear, clean and amber as the new stuff I was putting in and once again the drain plug was clean as well. The oil change/filter was as expected and once more the magnetic drain plug was free of debris.

Both the trans and primary produced exactly one quart each when drained and the engine gave up pretty close to 3. Checked and rechecked my oil levels and then did a short ride. Everything is fine and tomorrow I will put some serious miles on for good measure.
