What did you do to your Dyna today?

Yeah, you would think the dealers would give away the manuals as they probably help bring in more work!

The sad part is I went to the local HD dealer to buy the service manual and they didn't even have one in stock. Then didn't offer to order one for me either. I really wonder if they don't stock them on purpose because they think more people will bring their bikes into them for service.

Scored a thunderheader for late model dynas for $150, needed to weld in some bungs since my 08 fxdb runs 18mm sensors. Buddy hooked me up with some quick welds. Mounting it up tonight weather pending.
Kept it completely OSHA compliant

Digital Guard Dawg
I hate the neck location of the stock ignition on the street bobs and the fact that if you turn your key to off it pops out. So I installed the digital Guard dawg keyless ignition system last night. Overall I am pleased with the product and it functions great!
However, some of my bitches and complaints are that the install is a PITA, you would think they would make a plug and play kit for the Harley's.
The kit is sent with automotive plugs on it that you have to cut off so that you can splice into your existing harness. When I asked about a plug and play kit the rep told me that since it was designed for Harley all the wires match and they didn't feel a need for a plug and play kit... WTF?
They suggest installing the module in the head light bucket but it's too big so the only sensible location is right behind the battery box and this location makes the ignition module wires almost too short so you don't have much room to work with.
Lastly, the instructions are pretty crappy. It has misspelled words all throughout the manual and it's pretty hard to follow. I would expect better instructions and a more useable amount of wire on the for a "made in the USA product" and for 300 bucks.
Overall I am pleased with the product and it is worth the money but they still have some growing to do as a company.

Today I went to the dealer to pick up the battery cover trim piece I ordered then test fit it. This part is for a 2017 Low Rider S and is going on a 2006 Street Bob. Perfect fit, here is a pic:

Do you have the P/N? What did the dealer charge you for it? The trim piece on my Fat Bob has been a bit warped since I bought it, wouldn't mind replacing it with this one.

WOOT... RSD Morris wheelset!!! After a call to Performance Machine, I found you can custom order most Harley compatible wheels in most Harley hub configurations, I explained in detail what I needed for a hub in a wheel that is not cataloged as a standard part number, a few minutes later special order part numbers were emailed to me. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE .
So what did I order...
18" X 3 1/2" Morris front wheel with a Dyna dual flange hub configuration, 25mm bearings. Special order P/N.
18" X 5 1/2" Morris rear wheel with a Dyna rear hub configuration, 25mm bearings. Standard P/N.
Tire sizes... (still shopping for price)
130-70 ZR 18 Front
180-55 ZR 18 Rear
You know the routine, Photos and review when everything shows up (6 week lead time).

The part number is 61400416 you can find it at www.surdyke.com for $73.04. I paid $99 for it at the dealer. You wont have to worry about this one ever warping - its thick and heavy.
