I can't recall if there was a seam ridge there or not. If there is a seam it was smooth enough that it didn't bother me. I'll have to take it off again and look.

And yes, other than that there's no reason you couldn't mount the dash without the bib.

Sissy bar installed! I also rotated my handlebars back to line up straight with the forks. I didn't like having them sticking straight up and it wasn't comfortable. Much more comfortable having them pulled closer to me.
Went for a long ride and the bike is running great! No rattling, just the nice purr of the engine. I got up to about 85mph on the highway and no wobble. Vibration is normal and not even something I think about any more. Loving this bike!

Grab your right ankle to keep our boot back as you swing your leg over if you get on from the left side; or mount and dismount on the high side, like all the cool kids do You'll never touch the sissy bar that way...

Just did my 1000 mi service in my garage. Took me only 2 beers. Also added a fp3 and played the the mapping so far. Added a knockoff Day Maker from Amazon.
