Very close to this one, but mine had chrome steel bumpers.

Wow - memory lane! My first car, '71 Capri for $400, red with black top and the manual sunroof, similar to this one. Come to think of it, I'm leaning towards the red/black/chrome theme for my Wide Glide.

Mine had the crank sunroof, too. And the fold-out map light in the A-pillar. Was a great car. Lots of good memories. Wish I still had it.

Yesterday I installed a cheap Chinese LED knockoff that I found on Amazon:

If it's brighter that the stock halogen bulb AND has reduced current draw I'll be happy with it.

At this price I'm not thinking I'm gambling much on giving it a try.

After I installed the footboards on my ride a few years back, I wanted to go with the heel/toe shift option. So I purchased a Softail lever that would allow this. The lever has a bigger "S" bend in it and it is much shorter then the Dyna lever, so I put it in a soft jaws vice and slowy took the "S" shape out of it. It got a little taller, but was just enough to clear the primary case, so it worked. After I made a purchase of a lighter shift rod, thanks to ccgorman's insight, I decided I wanted to have the taller lever back and still have the heel/toe option. So I ground down the back of both levers to remove the spine section and swap them over. My buddy welded them all up for me and I painted it all black and installed it today. I think it looks much better.
