Installed the detachable hardware on my bike and installed the sissybar. Next project will be incorporating the sissybar into mounts for FXRP bags. Quick pics in the shop. Light sucked and it was equally sucky outside.

Seeing some laminar lips in the last couple pages. The look is growing on me. Anyone care to share their experience with it? Does it cut down wind pretty well? Any downside other than adding more to the bike?

I have been considering this type of set up. Can you share the info/links to the hardware and sissy bar? Looks really nice.

I'm 6'2" and my brother is 6'6". He also has a lip on his FXR. We both have found that it gets the wind up and over our helmets extremely well compared to without it. I haven't found any real downsides to it. And it is removable if you decide to use it part time.

Here are the parts I used:

Sissy bar - http://search.harley-davidson.com/?q=52300046a
Docking Kit - http://search.harley-davidson.com/?q=53797-09
Signal/Plate Relocate - http://www.greatbikegear.com/index.php/stbms.html

I went with the black LED license plate frame.

Those are the parts, but shop around online for the HD stuff and you can find them a little cheaper.

I still need to get the pad for the sissybar and order a T-Bag.

Why is there a roofing shingle on top of your piston?

Holy cow - I've never seen that much carbon build up! I'm definitely getting a breather kit now.

Guessing the experts will say it's rebuild time.

LOL

I have a breather kit on it now. Not sure, maybe I just need a tune.

I am pulling the bottom case for a rebuild for sure then she gets a new 95" top end.

Interesting timing of this post. Sunday, I upgraded to a V&H VO2 A/C and a J&P Cycles A/C Breather Kit.
