New bars and a surprise
New bars!
Surprise!
For some history, I bought this bike about 6 weeks ago. Not to much riding time he in Illinois but enough to know I had the drag bars the PO had on it. They made my back hurt and rendered my mirrors useless. The dealer hamfisted some pullback risers on for me as part of the deal, and I got the new bars and grips on today.
It appears to have the stock AC on it but has shortshots installed. I've only had a rare decel pop so I was curious if the PO had also installed a tuner. I lifted the seat and got my my surprise power commander! So now I need to find out what kind of support I can find for it.

Maintenance weekend. I changed the oil. Received some chrome mid controls. Painted them with a coat of matte black hammer finish and then a coat of plain matte black I was going for the wrinkle black finish as I could not find the actual wrinkle black paint. Next weekend, pull primary and install these mids. anyway, here you go.

Removed the Jagg low mount oil cooler and oil lines today; pulled the 3Guyz oil filter relocation yesterday. Ready for the install of the new Predator front engine mount; the voltage regulator is loose and hanging by a few threads; didn't want the weight of it on the wiring.
Left the Jagg thermostatic adapter in place; I can use a crow's foot and cipher out the torque spec easy enough so there was no reason to pull the adapter.
Cut off and tossed the oil lines from the oil filter relocation and the oil cooler and I'll replace them with Gates 400 psi reinforced oil cooler lines; overkill is my middle name The hard plastic bracket for the O2 connector that sits behind the voltage regulator will be a problem; that bracket will contact the Predator mount and won't last long at all with the vibration; I'll use heat to bend it forward to clear the Predator mount and reroute the lines...
Come on spring!

Thanks to ccgorman, I was able to replace my rusty cheap chrome shift linkage out with a much nicer and way lighter one without breaking the bank.

What length tube did you get? Mine (11.5") doesn't show hardly any thread. Maybe the 6-speed bikes use a longer linkage?
Oh, also, how does it feel/work? You're way, WAY ahead of me! I bought a bunch of hardware to unbind the spherical bearing so they rotate more freely, but I've got to customize most of it. Besides, bike don't roll...
