Tonight I ordered P/N 66444-12DH, the plain black late model battery cover and peeled the chrome spear off the electrical cover. Photos when the cover arrives.

Did my once per year full detail. Wash, clay bar, wax and chrome cleaning. Also got the finned points cover in and installed to match the derby cover.
While cleaning the tires I noted my 6 month old front tire is cracking around the rim. Cycle gear will be getting a call in the morning.

Now I'm inpatiently awaiting my bars and risers, parts arriving Monday through Wednesday. JP felt the need to send each part in a separate package....

Let us know how this comes out. I've never had any problems with them locally. tp dd50

Mocked up a shift linkage in CAD and ordered all the components. $50 shipped. All aluminum and fairly light. .18 lbs, supposedly.

Me too. I wanted something simple, stiff, and light. Everything is 7075 amuminum. The tube is .080 wall, swaged ends, anodized black. The jam nuts are skinny 3/8 hex, anodized black. The heims are 3-piece...aluminum yokes, hardened steel bearings and races with kevlar races and teflon seals. I couldn't tell for sure, but the yokes are either red or clear anodized. I'll paint them black. Everything came from Speedway Racing.
