It might be easier for you to obtain a complete 16" wheel (even a messed up with good hub wheel) there's loads of them

Any of the following rear wheels should work if all you want is the hub WITHOUT having to bore the hub for your 25mm axle/sleeve. If you don't mind boring, that opens up more possibilities

I have a set of Slim Wheels, the 16" x 3" front I plan to replace the single flange hub out with a dual flange hub for the future dual brake setup, I have everything for that wheel to be built. The Slim rear is also 16" X 3", but the softail hub is to wide and I want the wider 5" hoop in the rear. I have the 5" hoop and will be attempting to use the spokes off the softy wheel (it's never been used, so spokes are brand new), just need a hub to tie it together. Then I get to play with the truing wheel again.

Aren't the rear touring hubs designed with that big *** isolator system built into them or is that removable?

That's why I didn't list it

There's really no narrow hub softail wheel without boring the center section

2008 removable IDS from a STD 16x3 wheel

2009-later Integral IDS on a 16x5 wheel...obviously not compatible

Is the front hub with the dual flange used on a touring bike with spokes the same hub as the one in the rear with the removable IDS? Or is the rear designed different to receive the belt sprocket / IDS? Wondering if I need to limit my search to strickly rear wheels or if I can add the front touring wheel to my search?

Touring Front wheels:

- Slightly narrower "Flange to Flange" than 08-earlier rears... ~.035".

- Hub is symmetrical, I believe hub is Asymmetrical on the rear (I'll have to check ...definitely on the cast wheel, the offset is "machined in", whereas it could be "laced in" with a symmetrical hub, but I don't think so...easy to check)

- (2) sets of 5/16-18 THD holes front vs. 3/8-16 & 7/16-14 rear (of course the 5/16 holes can be drilled and tapped larger)

That date on the calendar is all the motivation I need

I'm out in my garage right now, got a few parts pulled off the Wide Glide taking care of a few last minute 'needed to haves'; the heat is on and the garage is toasty warm, Metal Shop is blasting through the sound system, there's a cold adult beverage within reach and I've got HDForums on the computer.

Good times, my friend; good times

That and the speed bleeders, but the bleeder thread has me second guessing that move.

I washed a dirty bike. I tried to get those cruddy spokes clean too.. Not going to happen. So guess I'll be looking into spoke wraps.

I have my spokes wrapped. The look good, PITA to install, especially the rear. I have yet to remove them to see what my spokes look like. Im sure they are rusted to ****.
