Just like the last day i ddi anything, I ordered parts and stared at pictures wishing all the parts I've bought in the last month would just magically mount themselves on.

Yeah, why is it so much more fun to buy stuff than to do the installs. What imaginations bike riders have....tp

Lol! I would be perfectly happy to work in a nice indie shop doing custom builds for others.

If I wasn't pushing 67, I would enjoy working on them more, too. Patience and flexibility are limiting factors today, creating frustration too often, so I spend my time riding instead of wrenching.

I do love to read about what is being done to Dynas, Baggers, Softails and Sportsters, since I owned some of all before. tp

That's certainly understandable! I probably won't much feel like crouching and bending to wrench on anything when i'm 67. I'll be happy if I'm still healthy enough to drive, let alone ride! My dad died before 60 and my step-dad quit riding around that when he lost his eye.

Sorry about your dad. Lost mine at 98. Loss is always hard...
Used to rebuild engines and entire bikes, but an O/F change can become a major undertaking today. I get off to Kevin at DK, as he's no spring chicken, but still does super stuff with and for bikes. tp

Finally adjusted and tightened the front fender. Started the bike, let it run. Is that a noise I'm hearing? It's a 2006! The infamous IPB fix.
