Went for a ride this evening to compete in the Dyna Photo Challenge thread. Danged if I didn't get it. A twofer tonight. Got the fun of riding and competing in the challenge. The win was just the outcome of tonight's ride. tp
Tin cup, that is a good looking bike, there. Enjoy it. tomp dd50

Ive got a powermadd bar bag that I have been messing around with a little bracket for. Its so the bag will sit further off my bars so I can still see my speedo. After all my bikes not having speedos or working speedos, its kind of nice to have one so id like to use it.

small add-on
Just a small contribution to this thread: I recently swapped out the stock shifter for the beefier HD Billet piece after giving it the Wrinkle Blk treatment....

Been riding without the windshield lately and really enjoying the difference. Have a small bag that I have had attached to the lower tree, that I moved up to the risers, like I've seen with sleeping rolls, and it made a big difference on the wind force on my chest and torso.
Still get that "In the wind" feeling without being constantly forced back into the seat's lumbar support. With all the bikes I've owned, this one is really starting to grow on me, even after four years of ownership (always ridden with touring screen before; may never again.) tomp

Enjoy seeing the pics when posted.
You play Yamahas? Been playing since late 1957. Still using a Yushua (sp) kit, an early Tama Corp product, from 1965, with re-cut bearing edges, (the original edges gave a much more mellow sound), and a '64 Rogers Powertone bronze snare, among others. Use a Simmons 10 piece electronic kit too. Sucks, compared to Roland's, but I donated my Roland kit to a church a few years back.
Back to motorcycles. If it doesn't rain tomorrow, will go for the Dyna Challenge; if it does rain, not getting wet to take a picture of a High school.

Back to motorcycles...installed the flush mount gas cap/gauge. Thought it was going to be an easy 30 minute job, but turned out to be a real PITA! The groves in the gas gauge that the housing spring clip rides in to lock into place were buggered up. Somehow (and I have no idea how) after like the 10th time of installing, removing, inspecting it somehow clicked into position. Then the damn thing kept reading low mileage. Not even sure if that's fixed. Just cleaned the contacts several times and it just decided to show the correct amount. We'll see. It's still raining, so might be a few days before I can take her out for a ride to make sure the connections are solid.
