TinCup - were you having issues from the original brackets? I ask because from what I'm finding for my LRS it's either the Ness kit or the Hardcase Performance 14" kit for more $$. Ideally I'd like a set of rotors 320mm or larger & radial mount calipers, but have yet to find anything.

There were no issues as of yet but when Ness suddenly decided to move to steel inserts instead of simply tapping the billet bracket body I did notice; tapping the billet is a much simpler process, in my mind they went to a more manufacturing intensive process and there must have been a good reason for that

I did speak with Ness tech support and they told me all the Big Brake kits now ship with this new style caliper bracket using steel inserts.

I practice threshold/maximum braking weekly; if anyone is going to eventually tear out that bracket it was going to be me

ssleeper,

Did you have to change anything on the mid controls to make the Bobcat fit?

Not really. Only thing I did foot controls related was shorten the rear brake control rod in order to lower the foot brake a little. There's plenty of adjustment built in...IIRC it took a pair of 10mm wrenches.

EDIT: I pulled the throttle body last night after work. Got it ported tonight & will get it installed tomorrow. Amazed at how shotty the casting was/is on that thing!!! If the heads are even remotely that bad I can see why aftermarket heads frees up power.

Did mine little over a week and a half ago, best $400 I've spent yet, the kit is insanely good value for the money and far, far more comfortable than FWD controls on a dyna. Boards are ace, brackets are solid, huge bag of fasteners, gaskets, o-rings. Was surprised to find that the MoCo did not nickel and dime at all with it. They even give you different colored plugs for your mid control holes.

Took the Handlebar Mounts and Spun them Forward thereby moving the bars forward about 1.25". It has me a bit more upright and forward on the bike.
Also installed some Bar Mount Mirrors ... $20 cheapo's
Gave it a bit of attitude for almost nothing

Bike is a 2010 Fatbob with a 14" Windvest Fairing that keeps it looking naked but adds a good bit of windbreak so you can run 80mph without having to hold on.
Think I'm going to put a bit longer shocks, do some fork work and drop them a tad in the triples to go along with the above.

Same bracket I got few months ago when I put my big brake kit on
Is the old bracket the same part # ?
