Oil pressure gage line done.

Routing chases the throttle cables.
Attachment 522925

A standoff and cushion clamp keep the hose from flailing about, and a small piece of nylon "grommet" as a chafe guard on the throttle body. The upper portion of the hose has EDPM heat shrink to cover the stainless steel braid, to keep it from acting like a hack saw.
Attachment 522926

Hose routing at the upper triple clamp clamp

-2 AN Hose fitting ready for assembly with anti-seize on threads.
Attachment 522927

Cut hose to length.
Attachment 522928

Reform the inner diameter of hose using tool.
Attachment 522929

Install hose retention nut and using a round nose pick open the stainless braid.
Attachment 522930

Install the "olive"
Attachment 522931

Assemble the fitting finger tight, pressing the hose into the fitting as you go, wrap a piece of tape below the hose nut, this will show if the hose backs out from the fitting as you tighten the retention nut. Tighten the nut fully following the manufactures instruction (Note: the hose, olive, and nut rotate as an assembly when installing on the fitting body), that wasn't that hard, now go install your new hose.

Ditching uncomfortable forward control pegs for a set of floorboards from the rider floorboard kit. Those pegs are not designed to work with size 15 boots.

Here is the Mustang Wide Vintage without the backrest installed. Everyone said it would look clunky but I don't think it's so bad. Besides, the comfort factor trumps looks. I love the backrest/highway peg combo on long rides.

Personally, I think the wide tripper is one of the best looking seats for a dyna.

Route change!
We are heading out to Central Oregon, then to the coast near the border of CA. Heading up the PCH to WA. Good stuff.

Just got the TBags mondo set-up for my sissy bar. I hope it will hold this big bitch! If so, I can permanently ditch the saddle bags, and just go with this ***** when I travel.

Should be a good trip, right at 1100 miles. Nice way to wrap up the first season on the S

Had an unannounced package today from DK Custom; never got a tracking number, that's never happened with DK Custom before, must have been a glitch in the Matrix. Anyway, the DK Custom oil filter relocation for the Dyna is here.

A quick test fit of the downtube oil cooler mount; no shims will be needed on the 1 1/2" downtubes of my '13 and I'm glad I've got the standoff clutch cable clamps. My +3" billet shift rod with heim joints will be an issue but I'll find the work-around. Cut away all the excessive teflon tape on the billet oil filter mount and oil filter mount brass adapter fittings; somebody really loves teflon tape. PTFE may have been a better choice, Kevin

This may be one of the first Dyna oil filter relocations out in the wild; I need to hit the NAPA store for 2' of Gates 400 PSI reinforced oil cooler hose but I'm fully sick tomorrow (cough cough) and I'll get this beast installed and do a full install thread in the Dyna forum with images ASAP...
