Decided which headlight to put on the Dyna. I'll be ordering a jw speaker 8690 M series fixed headlight with chrome reflector.

Edit: I'm going on a mission to eradicate the cough/pop on the bike when I switch gears. It does not happen all the time but enough to be annoying. I could live with it if I can't fix it. I am starting by installing a new set of intake seals.

Installed the Loose Cannon slip on and went for a ride. Runs and sounds better than I expected. Nice low rumble at idle and decel and strong and deep tone when I get on the throttle. I have an FP3 and must be working perfectly for this setup.

I don't plan to do anything more than stage 1, too many other things I'd rather have like windshield, shocks, relocate front turn signals, maybe throw over bags etc.

SPF pipe? It looks brand new, have you run any miles on it yet?

Got any shot of the entire bike? With those shocks, pipe, and the fender mods, I bet its got a nice, classic, and performance look.
Thanks a bunch, zero miles on a end to end chassis overhaul. Yes its one of Steve's pipes. I bought the bike new in 2009 and it was my daily commuter for 5 years and I pulled it down 2 years ago to "clean it"... Soon to be finished next up, build the brake lines and fit the cables. A few in process photos.

Today's fun was finishing the fabrication of a splash plate to keep road crap out of the wiring harness with my trimed fender, it bolts to factory holes.

Cardboard template fit check.

Finished carbon fiber splash plate (.062 carbon stock). No photos on the bike as it vanishes when installed.

And a ugly drawing if you want to build one, you can make one out of damn near anything.

That's a nice piece, Mike. I made one almost identical from .050 stainless for my 99. Yours very clearly illustrates why the new bikes can handle so much wider tires. My rear down tubes are parallel.

Where do you get your CF stock? I never even considered that as a material option in my fabrications.

What did you do to your Dyna today?

Bought it! I added a 2009 Super Glide Custom to the garage. Now I have to quiet it down, the Big Radius is too loud for this old man.

Great work!

Edit: probably not worth mentioning, but today I removed the chrome handlebar clamp. All the cables are free in the breeze now.
