Had an orange one a few years ago. This one is an 09 Black. 5600 miles. Bone stock. Could have gotten a Triumph Tiger 800 ABS for a bit less, but it felt so sterile and uninspiring, but it was FAST though.

Nice! Sounds like you had a fantastic ride...

Windshields? We don't need no stinkin' windshields!

I have a windshield. Actually I have 3 windshields. Can't stand 'em. They stay in the garage unless I'm pretty sure I'll be riding in the rain.

And yes, it was a fantastic ride. It's amazing how comfortable a Dyna can be when its set up for you. After 400 miles back home yesterday I felt ready to ride another 400. The Mustang seat with a backrest makes a huge difference.

Well, tonight I really put the ax to the grinder and got a lot done...I installed this little chrome doomaflitchy on the master cylinder banjo bolt. Whew, that took a lot out of me, LoL.

I don't think this qualifies as too much chrome. I may be putting black 5 hole levers, black mirrors, and black master cylinder cover on the bike in the future. This tiny chrome piece may be history at that time.

Spent a half hour figuring out where a connector(wire) goes. Good, now I can sleep tonight.

The stuff I need to finish the wiring arrived today. Hopefully this weekend I can work on the bike some more.

Mount for my power vision arrived today, so I mounted my power vision after work.
Thanks to TinCupChalice for the run guide on how to wire it up.
Set a few of the gauges up, looking forward to the ride to work tomorrow before a few days of rain which means back to the cage.

Excellent, glad you were able to get the Power Vision mounted! Running the diagnostic plug from the under seat area to the electrical box from the back side lets you keep your electrical cover on.

I'm monitoring head temperature, engine temperature, intake temperature, and battery voltage. The head temperature is coming off the sensor located on the back side of the front cylinder near the head; engine temperature that's displayed in the PV is derived from an algorithm based on the head temperature since there's not a second 'engine temperature' sensor. Riding yesterday at 62 MPH in 87° temperatures my head reading was 317° and engine reading was 220° ...

Had same problem. Took a Dremel tool with a sand drum cartridge and enlarged the reflector around the socket. Need to go slow so you don't just melt the plastic.

Default I bought one

After 13 years riding and modifying a 98 FLXTF, I finally took the plunge and went Dyna. . . with my brand new to me 2015 FXDL

Transporters delivering

Factory one-off paint, otherwise stock, Exhaust is embarrassingly quiet. Handlebars suck. Seat has to go. Lots of things in boxes waiting to be installed. . .

Resting at home.

What can I say. My chicks FXDB was faster than me. . . no more, especially when I add a few mods.

Congrats. New bike should be a blast to ride and enjoy. They are the best handling Big Twins MoCo builds. tp
