I fixed an odd issue my power vision caused. my speedo was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY off!! i was maxing out at 120mph when i was going probably 10 mph. it just started out of nowhere and the last thing i had done was change the tune for the baffles i put back in my pipes. i scratched my head on it and reviewed the web and saw all kindas stuff but, nothing hit the issue on the nose.
i reviewed the current tune in WinPV and saw that the speedo calibration off the stock and current tune were 2146 pkm/ppm
compared it to what other tunes in the pv database and figured the issue must be on the bike that was not throwing - U0156, Lost comm w/SPEEDO.
i ruled out the sensor because it still works.
went out to the bike with the pv and checked the vss in quick tune. it was set at 98!!! wtf? i updated it to 2146 and saved.
i mounted my phone on the bars running Speedview and took the bike out for a ride, the speed on speedo was dead on with app.....which is weird because it supposed to be off by a few miles but, it works like it did before.
Just installed the Vance & Hines VO2 Naked air cleaner kit, replaced the foot pegs all around, and put a new shift peg and brake pad on. It took only a few hours for everything, I was easily distracted. Tonight I am installing the V&H fuelpak 3. Also, replacing the shift linkage tomorrow. Exhaust is in the mail, more pictures of the completed Stage 1 in the near future.
