Talking Dyna tank lift:

Not exactly today, more like earlier this year.
While looking in one of my loose hardware parts bins, I found 2 steel plates, 3/16" thick by 7/8" wide. They were rounded on the ends, and had a hole in one end.

After looking at them trying to remember where they came from, I decided that I had a good use for them. A "tank lift" came to mind.

After a little measuring and drilling one hole in each plate, the plate/brackets fit perfectly. After finding the right length hardware, and painting the plate/brackets, I installed them for a 1-1/2" lift of my gas tank.
Now, it looks as if I will get better airflow between the tank and the top of my engine. Also, it looks as if the lift now makes the bottom of the tank look more level to the ground. I like it.

Makes the line from the top of the seat to the top side of the tank more fluid as well!

Finally got a call on lunch. He has "tried" everything from changing the valve stem to rebeading the tire and says it hasn't lost any psi. So I'm going to pick it up tonight and install it on the bike. Gonna check it each night and track psi to see if it holds.

If you check pressure in the afternoon heat and then check in the early morning cool, it will be different. Maybe 3-5 pounds. Also, just checking pressure on a 100/90-19 can loose a pound or two.

Hope fully it's fixed!!!

It runs great, very smooth. I know numbers are just numbers but am I foolish to have expected mid 130's at least?

I wonder what's up with that torque dip @ 2,500? It has to be the exhaust right?

Great numbers, mine has the same dip. The tuner told me the exhaust sucked when I unloaded it off the trailer lol. Then he was very happy to point it out when we were finished. Whatever, it runs like a MF for a Harley!

Well Cylce Gear couldn't find a puncture, changed the valve stem and rebeaded. Took it over to my boy at Harley after works to double check and everything looks good. Got it back on the bike and going to check psi over the next few days to see how it does.

I don't remember the specs on your motor build but the dyno chart isn't terribly different than mine. I've got a little more torque on the low end and don't have that 2500 RPM dip that a lot of dyno charts seem to have though. Maybe it is the exhaust. In any case, you should be happy with it. I finished mine in 2017 and it still puts a smile on my face every time I grab a handful of throttle.

Bought a Brocks swingarm today off the trader page! Brand new, only used for mock up. Saved myself about 500 bucks. I didn't want to spend any more money on this damn thing but the swingarm was on my list. Way down the list but the price was right. Dammit.

Its a 117 @ 11.2-1, t-man street performer cvo heads, 58mm tb, 6.3 inj, Thrashin AR exhaust and Cycle-Rama 630 cams.

It runs amazing, which is all I care about. It’s just different from the way it was previously setup with the tman 590s and the 30t compensator. That build was hitting 120 tq @ 2500 rpm. It would rip your arms off if you let it, but it also petered off fairly quickly and felt labored on the interstate during long rides. Don’t even get me started about riding it in the rain lol

This setup was geared more towards highway riding and being less picky on fuel as I plan to keep going out west. I can grab 4th or 5th on the interstate and be north of 120mph in the blink of an eye. I’d say mission accomplished.
