I decided a while back I was not happy with the brakes. I was running the DNA polished rotors and Lyndall Z Pads. While the rotors looked good, I did not think they stopped worth a ****. I ordered new Lyndall pads and shopped for floating rotors for a while. Last week I decided on the Arlen Ness floating rotors and ordered them. The rotors arrived and looked good so Sunday I spent most of the afternoon removing wheels and exchanging rotors. I also upgraded the rotor bolts to ARP while I was there.
After I got them all installed I went for a short ride to break them in and test them out. The new rotors and pads are a nice improvement. I guess the next upgrade in the braking department is the calipers.
About a month ago I finally ordered a new exhaust to replace my R&B Racing that I love. The R&B has 1 3/4 head piped and no baffle so I think it left me short about ten or so horsepower on my 110 CI when I had the bike dyno tuned. I originally was going to order a HPI and before I pulled the trigger, I found another exhaust that I have not seen before. This exhaust is hand made to order by Noon Performance. I contacted them and talked to the owner at length about what I wanted. I placed the order about a month ago and the exhaust should be at the polish shop by now. Once I receive it and get it installed I will head back to the dyno for another tune. I have included a link to his website if you are interested.
Noon Perfoance

I also had a Z900 before the BMW now in my sig pic. I too did the Z pads on the Dyna FWIW.
Conclusion? I ride the Harley like it's got coaster brakes, at least until I step up to a quality 6 piston aftermarket unit.
And even then, they'll be worlds apart.

I agree 100%, it don't stop like a sport bike. I would by the calipers but the rear is a problem. They don't make an aftermarket bolt on rear caliper that I have found. The stock caliper bracket that I have has been machined to be a 1/4 shorter where it rides on the axle to allow me to fit a 200 rear tire and have it line up properly. I would have to start with an aftermarket bracket and start machining again. At some point, I will go ahead and do it.

The Noon exhaust looks like it collects right at the muffler. The R&B has a collector you just can't see it at that angle.

I'm fully aware of the RB pipes.. It was the Noon pipe I was referring to.. It looks like it immediately opens up to a bell which I don't see how could help scavenging without a collector and no scavenging will lead to more reversion.. This is why I'm questioning the pipe.. I guess you'll find out when you put the bike on the Dyno..

I did see what you are pointing out when I was looking at it. Hopefully it will not have the bad dip that the R&B did but we will see. My R&B ran out of snuff about petty early I think due to the head pipe size. The dip is pretty typical for their pipe I think.
To be honest though, this bike hauls *** and I don't ride in the low RPM range anyway. I also have a 30T pulley on the front to help out. They guy at Dyno Difference thought is was **** though!

No way! You bought that set from Richard! I'm a little jelly but I know what he was asking for them! Either way those are the only set in existence on a late model dyna! Hat tip!

Swapped from forwards to mids. At this rate I'm going to be done with my "winter project" before winter.

Excellent! I have three daughters. They all used to ride with me. Youngest is now 40. She still talks about our memories riding together.

Ordered the Bitubo WME 14" shocks for the dyna! After reading the posts here and doing some other research they seem like a pretty good bang for the buck!
