well they are definitely going to be more stiff than stock which is way to soft. I've had mine installed for about 2 years. I haven't noticed that they "mellowed out" That being said I'm thinking about going back to my racetec setup and just dialing in the valving.

Readjusted wheel alignment and chain slack. Slack is ~1 1/4" and wheel is aligned between the swing arm using the factory procedure. Unfortunately wheel to transmission/engine alignment is a bit off. I'll have to do a full alignment next I guess.

what did you put to 6? The adjustment ***** on the rear shocks are for compression and rebound. Your preload is the adjustment you make with the spring to set your sag.

sorry talking about two things

preload on the fronts is set to zero

preload (sag) on the rears is set to the correct 1", i set rebound to 6 to see if it helped not be beat to death by the fronts

quick edit, i do like the way the fronts absorb the big impacts (rail roads crossings, big pot holes, etc), its the way these act over smaller stuff (like washboard roads) where they fall short. its like you're on a high speed teeter totter (almost like the rebound on the fronts is set to 1 when it would be nicer to have it set to a 3, if that makes sense, which is why i was asking if they mellow out)

gotcha. I actually pulled my fronts out to double check them after riding on them for a while. I found both of my cartridges to be backed off past zero. I was pretty disappointed in myself (and legend) for not checking that before I threw them in. I've had my rears on for four years and the fronts in for 2. I'm not that excited about their performance. I never recommend them when people ask about my bike. I have so many irons in the fire on my dyna I'm just gonna leave them in for now. Definitely ditching them all around at some point.

well ll got to my cousins place a little after 12 noon. Had some lunch and a beer unpacked and grabbed a few fishing poles and high tailed it to the beach which is one block from the beach and surf fished for a few hrs and caught up on stuff. We did the loop the next morning then had a great Poke Bowl for breakfast that he made, and back out to the fishing. Stayed 3 days and did the same for 3 days. I had a ball. Left Ormond Beach yesterday at a little after 8am and hit my house at 4 pm ( stopped from drink and pee and stretched the legs) 280 Mls there and back and almost 75 Mls = 635 Mls in 3 days and the bike performed flawlessly. I'll be going back probably in early August to do the same.

The the screen shot is next day in my garage engine off

Long day…installed new Progressive HD 412s, a Ness Oil Press Gauge, Progressive Heavy Duty fork springs with 10wt and fork boots and a set of Rox rotating risers to stop me hunching. More pix tomorrow, time for beer.

I made some appearance changes, I replaced the front and rea stock pegs and added matching grips. Not a huge undertaking but it makes me happy lol. Looking forward to trying the new front pegs out since they came with a heel rest.
