What did you do to your Dyna today?
Just home from 200km round trip to the city to get a new back tyre. Went with the Michelin Scorcher 31 to match the Michelin on the front. I called in to a friends place and we took the wheel off there. I saw a few saying to remove the exhaust system to get to the axel bolt out but I went the other way and removed the bolts from the bottom of the shockies and had enough clearance after the swing arm lifted the needed 2 inches to get the bolt out above the muffler. At reassembly I inserted the bolt from the belt side so the nut is behind the muffler so it will be a much simpler process for next wheel off operation.

I ended up increasing the idle jet from 46 to 48 and now she purrs. The idle is still a bit higher but not what it was before, just need to keep a soft touch on the idle screw.
Appreciate the input.

Front end rebuild
So I had a shop install some legend cartridges in my front end about a year ago and I've never been happy with them. They had virtually no rebound and were just garbage all the way around. They replaced my racetec setup with emulators and preload adjusters which I was going to put back in. (Also I never dialed in that setup) I had a blown fork seal so I addressed that but when I pulled out the cartridges I found the springs basically loose. The nuts were locked in place so nothing backed off. This is how they came from legend. Also the shop that installed them most likely just threw them in. So my friend and I set the preload properly and put them back together with new seals and the test ride went well. They soaked up some serious bumps on a pretty bad road. Are they the best thing since sliced bread... absolutely not but they are decent now. I should have just done it myself the first time. Nobody is gonna pay as much attention to detail as you are working on your own stuff. Tahoe **** Show this weekend in Reno/Carson as well as Street vibes!

A nice ride to Milton (47mi round trip) to see the engineer who is making me a new set of bars. I find all the stock and aftermarkey bars have too much back sweep for me. I asked on a thread a while back about finding a set of bars but possibly didn't frame the question in a way that allowed for the answers I was looking for.
I wantto keep the stock clock and the only two options were a custom set of mini apes with flatter pull back of just 2 inches so I went another route and bought a set of 6 inch pull back risers and had the engineer make a solid bar to go in place of the original so I can keep the stock clock and got a plain top clamp (sitting on the gas cap) that I will cut in half and fit to the risers width as singles rather than a standard set. Engineer is turning a pipe from an inch and an 1/8 dia down to an inch and at this stage will be 35 inches long. The central straight section through and past the top clamps will be 13 3/4 then a 2 inch back sweep for another 11 3/4 each side which gives me the optiuon to cut them back to about 32inches overall when I get them all sorted to feel right for my riding style.

Ordered some Cruisetecs on Friday from RevZilla and they showed up the next day...unbelievable. Too bad I won't mount them till winter or ride them till next spring.
