What did you do to your Dyna today?
No. I'm using all stock cables (throttle/clutch/brake line/wiring). My bike is a 2017 fxdb and came factory with "mini apes" and there was plenty of excess. I'm not certain about other year bikes but can-bus dynas have a ton of excess wiring stuffed into the frame. I feel like I could have mounted 16" bars without extending my wiring harness.
Put on my new Mustang seat, tightened the valve stem in the front that was causing my tire to go basically flat on a daily basis, then left it in the garage because it's 105 degrees outside and us larger folk don't do well in the heat...lol. Seat feels a lot more comfortable than the worn and aging C&C it replaced (seat was perfectly fine for what the bike was, in no way a slight against C&C) and puts me in a better riding position. Was either this or a Saddleman until I rode a friend's TSport with the Saddlemen step-up and it pushes me too far forward, plus I've always really liked the look of the Mustang Fastback. IMO it was the original "step up"-style seat.

I built an exhaust today
The exhaust that came on it was a no name straight pipe that sounded terrible and had no torque.
Ok, so "built" is probably a bit of an exaggeration, I hacked up the head pipes, fitted some V&H slip ons I already had them, and cut the heat shields to fit.
The bike looks almost exactly the same but it sounds soooooo much better and has more torque now.
I also ordered new bars and led lights for it

Washed it! Still a work in progress after buying it last year but I'm starting to like it almost as much as my fxr.
This is the convertible and asked previously was about the quick release sissy bar and bags mount I planned on doing so here's an update. I used the quick release mounts and sissy bar, then used a small piece of all thread into the fender and a standoff to space my bags out.

Shot the valve stem in the front tire across the garage, looking at where it fractured it was on its way out for a while so that was neat. I'll pull the wheel off tomorrow to get that fixed. Always assumed when tire shops did new tires they replaced valve stems, not in this case I guess...lol

Got the tire fixed and found my new tire shop in the process. Just in time for 2-3 days of rain in SoCal...lol

Finally got around to the front master cylinder and caliper rebuild (m/c kit oem and caliper drag specialties). Pulled the cap on the m/c and was met with a gelatinous goo, thankfully confined to the m/c. Pulled the seal, cap and piston and it had a nice coat of gel on it also. My understanding is this happens when there is a mixing of DOT 4 and 5 fluids. Purchased the bike in April so I couldn't attest to what was done with the previous owner.
Got everything cleaned up including a wire wheel to all of the old paint on the m/c, both kits in place with new crush washers on the banjos, bled out and all is good. Shot some black satin lacquer on the m/c as a quick fix but would like to go with some in the near future. Only recommendation is to replace the pivot pin snap ring or have a new one on hand as mine bent even when using snap ring pliers. Nice pull on the lever but a little spongy, should smooth out with an overnight tie up.

New Tires and brake fluid
Couple of days ago I dropped my 2004 Superglide off at Danbury Harley Davidson CT
for new tires and brake fluid. They are installing a Bridgestone Commander 3 on the front and a Commander 2 on the rear. I currently run a Commander 3 on the rear of my 2005 GL 1800 Goldwing. It has been a great tire so far. I am also making foot peg adapters so I can move the forward controls up and back about 1 inch. Some might say that I am vertically challenged. Other things being done slowly are a custom flag pole I made out of African pauduk wood. It is going to look great just as soon as I can figure out the best way to mount it to my Dyna. I would hate to have the mounting break and hurt someone following me in a pack. I have also added a Rush 3" slip-on muffler to the stock motor. Soon as I can afford it I will add the Vance & Hines Fuel Pak 65006B as well as the Screaming Eagle air cleaner as recommended by Danbury Harley.
wow, these Rush slip-ons sound really mean.

Be sure you flush the whole system out before you put it back together. Use denatured alcohol, then blow air through the system. If you're going with glycol based fluid, flush it with cheap DOT 3, then fill with your chosen fluid. I like Castrol GT LMA. It exceeds DOT 4 standards and is "Low Moisture Activity."
