Todays project was installing an Allballs 1.4kw starter,
First was to upgrade the battery cables.
Picked up some #4 welding braided wires and ends;
Used the crimps at work and then silver soldered.
Upgraded the connecting ground also.

I took a picture of the original starter and wires.

 

Washed off some of the mud and put mine back on the table to mount the Easy Brackets for my saddle bags.

 

It snowed so I watched my son ride his Harley through my family room.

Re-coated it in ACF-50

 

Might hit 8 deg for a high temp today. I go out and look at her.

 

I haven't even started mine since I parked it after my last ride on Oct 30th. No sense in getting condensation in the engine from a short run up. Three more months and I can start to ride again. I just got off of nightshifts Sunday morning and my nights were running around -35F with a -47F wind chill.

 

I'm showing 12 deg at the moment here. That would feel like "butt naked weather" to you...


I couldn't imagine those temps, holy crap!!

Is the underside of the shift peg smooth or serrated? How does it feel up shifting?
