Bareknuckle Performance fork brace and Ricor valve install.

For the fork brace the chrome dust seal caps come off. So tubes have to come out of the triple trees. But pulling the tubes made doing the ricors easy, and I didn’t have to use the 12mm long hex bit I bought to drain the forks.

Rode out to a custom bike and van show, and parked next to this Dyna. I'm digging the fishtail exhaust, Sporty tank, and longer fork tubes. Simple 70's style chopper vibe.

Pretty cool.. Sportster front end looks to be 4"over and tank with an older FXR seat, Royal Duke.. Nice..

I have been wanting to move my crank case vents from the air cleaner to an open air style for about 4 months now. It was 103 in East Texas yesterday so instead of riding I took on the project. For parts I used my S&S air cleaner backing plate, breather tubes from DK Customs and about 4 feet of 3/8 tubing. I cut the ears off of the backing plate and ground the rest smooth with a flapper wheel. I gave her a shot of black paint to finish it off and filled the breather holes with black silicone. I installed the DK Custom breaker tubed into the cylinders and mocked up my hose routing. This was an easy deal on my old sportster but it took a while on the Dyna because of lack of space under the tank. Once I figured out the filter would not fit under the tank, I routed the lines along the backbone of the frame to end behind the battery box. I wanted the filter out of site. The project worked well and I will crank it today to make sure I don't have leaks. I may switch to a catch can later if I get oil residue on the engine after riding.

Installed a new Shield that I ordered from FreedomShields and took out the Switchback to test it out. It's 14" and fits me just right. Very pleased with FreedomShields and their customer service.

Looks good! I've thought about going to that style windshield and shelving my Tsport fairing for a bit.

Default Clutch lever handle modification

Would really recommend a small modification i did on my fxdx last weekend. (Bit proud of it, to be honest)
The only reason H-D didnt do it for us is because they were too greedy for it.

I really hate that part nr 6 (see picture) and i’m sure i’m not the only one. You wouldnt be the first who’d loose his clutch lever on the highway. It happened to me once a long time ago , and at least one friend told me about it as well. I even had double bad luck that time, because when i looked behind me i saw it getting smashed on the road by a police car, and I could hardly stop without a clutch, but that’s a different story...

the right tool for it is that one you never need, so when you finally do need it after years, it’s often lost... and besides that, nobody ever has it in his toolbox on the road.

Last saturday, my part nr 6 jumped away when i carefully tried to remove it (off course... ) and such a small ring, you’ll never find it back. Also it was evening, shops closed, and not a spare nr 6 around anywere..

What i did was take a 9mm bolt (it actually came from a wall-ancor-mount) so with the extra 1 mm space i could use a double part nr 2 (see picture). That gave a more thight fit compared to a 10mm bolt with only one part nr 2. its really much better then original now.

at the bottom side its grinded just long enough to fit a safety-nut.

Looks very neat like if it’s OEM , I’ll add some pictures later,

This set up has been in use since the 80's... If y'all are having that much of an issue with it your not paying enough attention to your bike.... Your clutch will still work fine as asking as you pay attention to the pin....
