Adjusted the highway pegs I installed to a preferable location! One enjoyable ride now!

Got rid of those silly reflectors on the fork and rear fender and spray cleaned/detailed off some gunk. Looks much better.

Rode in this AM. Realized I might not have enough Dynabeads in the front tire as it seems to chatter over 80 (not that I ride that fast, oh no). Will get another bottle and add a bit more to the front. First time using them versus the weights. So far, still skeptical.

Today I started the process of making my own shift shaft to accommodate a heel/toe shifter on my Switchback. After reading all the old posts on forums and seeing the lack of availability of a simple kit, and my dislike of the FXDP shifter, I started making my own.
For the most part, it’s assembled and “almost” functional, but I’m waiting on an extended heel shifter to arrive to make things more “ergonomic”.
A standard length shift arm has to be angled drastically, to allow gear selection. Too much of an angle for my liking..

Hopefully the extended arm clears the footboard end. Next week it should be done, then I’ll just need to send out the shift shaft to be chromed.

Have not had much time for the bike lately. I finally had some time but it was around 100 degrees here in East Texas so, I pulled the exhaust and installed my ARP bolt kit.

Got a little closer to the 'finished product'....ahahahahahaha!Powdered another set of Flo pegs for my highway peg setup, including all the peg cleats,AND the cleats for my floorboard,as well as the pivot pins for the pegs.Just waiting for my DK Customs brackets to get here to mount 'em up.Also did a cobby rattle can paint job on the fairing, until I can get a qualified painter to do a better job matching it.I have the ColorRite matched paint already, just not the skills........yet.And of course the obligatory sticker ***** motif on the inside.

The floorboards are for my SGS,which will be getting the Deep Red treatment soon.

Pretty simple for just DIY stuff.Eastwood dual voltage gun, toaster oven for smalls, and an old electric stove for some larger stuff.8'x8' booth in the back corner of my shop, and the wife bought me a nice range hood for ventilation a few years back. This is an older pic,but you can kinda see it all here.I have a big power cord I run to the oven when I'm PCing, then I roll the oven into the paint room when I'm not using it.
