My crash bar came in and I mounted it with zip ties to see how it will look. Unmounted it when I realized that I was riding in. Mounting kit and U-Brackets arrive thursday!

That's because those instructions are for the lighted plate bracket, not just the license holder. There's nothing about the OEM light relocation (or lack thereof) or why the bolts don't fit.

I don't think the frame mount and lighted frame will work independent of each other.

I have 3 of the cyclevisons lighted frames that were replaced because the lights kept going haywire everytime it rained. If you silicone around your license plate it should work fine. That's how I eventually got my current one to quit freaking out everytime it got wet. If you want one I'll send it to you for the cost of postage.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. It rains here every day so that doesn't sound like it would work too well.
For now, I hope to get a RA number from CV but I'll keep that in mind.
I did not want to install the lighted plate holder, only the relo bracket to get rid of the side mount. They sell it separately and would work except for the lack of light mount and proper hardware. I like the stock turn signals and license light. Not sure why it can't be moved to their bracket. Not sure what to do with it.
So I made an extension to move the stock plate mount further back so my saddlebags fit better. Here's the plane bracket:

The Viking version has a place to mount the light plus hardware:

Hey good taste ya have there lol
I just added a pair of Legend Rev-o a shocks and I highly recommend that upgrade if you haven't already upgraded your rear suspension. It makes a huge difference in ride quality!

Default Nice!

lot better than spending $100 on something that’s going to fall apart again! Shifts seem somehow more solid now too.
