Slipped the exhaust back on and decided that I didn't like the black bracket that holds the two mufflers together so decided to order a chrome bracket....another 100 bucks but getting closer to being finished

Default FXDF Fender Swap Day!!!!!

Knocked out earlier today.

-Fender swap to FXDWG
-plate relocation to side (DK High and tight)
-FXDWG fender lip tail light
-Plate light

Everything went well and I’m really pleased with the look.

I

I am adding quite a bit of chrome and have saw some with what I consider too much chrome…the yellow main color seems to help blend in the chrome/black but what do I know

Took the exhaust back off this morning and added a couple more pieces of engine trim. Plan on modifying the football air cleaner cover and waiting for the part and then the right side will be complete…unless I change something else again.

Nothing fancy today. Just a bath and a good chain cleaning and lube. 🤙

I am still trying to learn when its time to replace an engine mount. Went for a ride and put the bike through different scenarios and learned that anything over 70 is smooth as glass while 50 to 60 in 4th gear is too. It likes to spin apparently. Put it in 5th at that speed and it reminds me of my '75 Shovel rigid mount. Not a bad vibration, but is that pretty much normal?

20 y.o. mounts with 24,000 miles on them..

Please advise

She sure is pretty but I do NOT miss the old days of cleaning chrome. I had an '01 FLSTF that was Black and Chrome Yellow (the reason I asked about your yellow color) and had everything from the P&A catalog that I could get in chrome on it.
