100mi tour around no where, then grabbed some brake fluid on my way home and changed out the original fluid. Black and nasty, had a little metallic paste in it which is a tad concerning. But I took the line off the caliper and flushed it.

I pulled the cam cover on the '02 after 2,000 miles since buying it, to see if 20 y.o. tensioners wear faster than new ones. (They don't.)

24,000 miles and still plenty of meat on them with no cracking.

But at that age they are subject to crumbling and clogging up the oil system then major engine failure.
20 years old....time to change

New cams arrived! Still waiting on tappets/ rollers to show. Fueling 543’s, research says these should fit what I want out of it the most. Bought from fuel moto with push rods and install kit as they had a nice discount code going for St. Patrick’s day.

Threw on the solo seat to go for a ride, and the (I'm guessing original) petcock is dumping fuel on the rear cylinder. Drained the tank, changed the line going to the carb, ordered a Pingel non-vacuum unit to replace the stock piece. Now I wait - the worst part...lol
