Got the Thunderheader installed, took some wiggling and messing with.
I run 14.25 Inch Ohlin's shocks so had to space out the mounting bracket to push it away from the swingarm and the Pipe away from the Rear axle nut.

Honestly not sure on looks yet, need the fairing on before i can decide.

I think the Thunderheader looks good. There are a lot of uglier pipes out there for sure. Could be the higher stance that makes it kinda weird.

Hi everyone,
i'm new here, been following the forum for a while now & decided to be part of it.
Well for a start after owning HD Rocker for a couple of years approx. half a year ago I bought FXDLS which has always been my dream bike and made a few modifications on it as you can see below.
The last thing I did was install/replace the Vance short shots exhaust with the Red Thunder exhaust this week.
The map that I used is from Thunderheader and everything worked just fine except what I saw after approx. 1 hour of driving is that my muffler changed color. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I have not come across anywhere on the net that anyone has had a similar problem with the Red Thunder as the exhaust can withstand very high temperatures.
Thanks in advance

Maybe forum member Mchad will chime in.. He bought one of those but had issues as well... Don't quite remember exactly what...

From what I've read on the forums, the finish on the thunder headers isn't the greatest and does tend to fade from heat cycling.

That's the "Black" ones

(if you're referring to the Chrome T-Header above and Different manufacturer if referring to the Red Thunder)

By what I read the "RED Thunder" pipe that I'm referring to is the one Mchad has and I believe he thought it was Inferior to the original Thunder Header...
