As the front mount fails it distorts the rear mount. You really need to replace them both, or you'll just hasten failure of the new front mount.

I went with OEM. After I ordered it, I found a guy who's very popular with the bagger crowd for his replacements that I'd try next, assuming I experience another failure. Just can't remember his name/website.

Edit: I think it was Glide Pro that I wanted to try next.

With my Slightly built 103 Street Bob, I raced a 2021 Fatboy with a 114 on Sunday... It wasn't even a contest.. I put three lengths on him... Man it Felt good..... Must say the Shinko hooks...

Reminds me of a Beach Boys song, "Shut down" Good stuff!

Tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down

It happened on the strip where the road is wide
Two cool shorts standin' side by side
Yeah, my fuel injected Stingray and a four-thirteen
Revvin' up our engines and it sounds real mean

Tach it up, tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down

The stock 114's really aren't all that compared to the 103. Buddy of mine would run with or beat them all day long on his 103 with both bikes just having a pipe and tune.(eventually the 114 would catch up and slowly pass by him, but it took a bit of space, and it wasn't like blowing by him) Now, once you put a cam in the 114, it's a different story. That really wakes the 114 up.

The stock M8-114 is supposed to be 114hp and 119 torque.. which is 25% more power than a stock 103.. I think it's impressive... And that's all that matters..
