SW CQB 45
---> check engine light comes on intermittently at 40 MPH. Confused on that one.

Loose wire on a spark plug can cause that. Just make sure they snap on.

I go into the process of getting the security code without the fob to by pass it and it reads __ _ _ _ _ .. yep.. no numbers to read.. so now I'm kicked back in the garage drinking a cold beer and looking at a beautiful bike that belongs to me ( and the bank ) that I can't ride... what a *^$# up day this turned out to be.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?? beside trailer it to my local Harley dealer.. thanks in advance. Odd ball.
have another beer , then trailer it to the dealer....fat bob I owned was converted away from the fob......obviously a dealer issue........I have steered clear of the fob controlled bikes ever since.

Installed reduced reach kit on my Wide Glide. Feels better so far. Only ran around town to test it.

Also put on a replacement heat shield. Looks better. Still working on attaching saddlebags though.

I've got a question about that. My 2007 FXDB that I bought used from a private owner in '09 didn't have a fob. Were fobs an option in '07 or did they all have them and then mine was removed?

EDIT: Come to think about it, my 2012 FXDC doesn't have a fob either......

Back then I believe you had to have the security system to have a fob.

I could be wrong tho.

Dropped it in my driveway. Wasn't even running. I was turning it around while waiting for my girlfriend before going for a ride. Couple of minor scrapes. Embarrassing. The neighbors saw it happen.

Fob for security system. Will have a red key light show up on instrument dial when the ignition key is turned on, then go off if no security is set. That is how my 2005 is.
