Finally solved the hot start issue on my 2010 fatbob. When hot and attempt to start would often result in nasty noises and no start...two or three attempts needed. It was NOT the compensator, it was the starter clutch worn out at 25,000 KM. It was replaced and good to go now.
I ordered andrews 48h and related/required parts: S&S quicky pushrods and etc.... install next week.
I gave up on the installation of the below extended switches and had a mechanic fix my mess. Yes I got cussed out.

Went to the Moco today to get a couple small parts... 45 miles round trip cruise at 80-90 mph the whole time on my 2013 Street Bob and man I got to tell you that bike handles amazingly at those speeds.....
Changed my Fat Bob from forwards to mids. I hated the first ride. It might just be that it felt so oddly different from what my bike has always felt like. Hopefully I'll grow to love it.
How much was this huge job? Replaced both inner and outer primary? Different exhaust? All told it's at least a grand, right? I would love to change my WG to mids but this job just seems far too cost prohibitive.
see if they have a Reduced Reach Forward Controls Conversion kit for your bike. I did this on my Low Rider, best mod ever.
$250 for the for controls, $100 for gaskets, $100 for outer primary, $115 for inner primary, $270 for the mechanics labor. No new exhaust was needed (I have V & H Short Shots). I probably would have been able to do the installation myself but I have a trip coming up and I didn't want to run into any unexpected problems that made me miss it. The mechanic told me he could knock it out in one afternoon so for me it became a necessary expense. I set ebay up to alert me anytime any of the parts went up for sale then I waited until I could snag them one at a time for reasonable prices. It was a little expensive over all but by buying parts slowly over time, it didn't seem too bad.
Already ordered that kit but it only changes it 1" up and back. And it's a lot different than Low Rider's "Further Forward" controls. It's not the reach, as I'm well bent on the stock reach, it's the comfort. I hate hanging my heal off the pegs and just can't get my feet to relax. Same thing on my 48 with it's little forwards. After two bikes with forwards, I want mids. Trouble is finding a Harley that isn't factory forwards or modified forward.

Did some more autotune runs on the big bore 107, this thing hauls *** now compared to when it was a 96 with cams like not even comparable.
It also told me it was lonely and needed a friend lol
It's a 2003 Electra Glide built buy a custom shop in the area. Built 95, air ride, hand done custom paint, its a beauty! and makes the FXDL feel like a sport bike in comparison
