They started showing up yesterday so I guess you can say the arp transformation is underway....

I will say I’m a little concerned about these things rusting. The black oxide coating isn’t the greatest on more than a few fasteners. I think I’ll hit them with some dry graphite for a little added protection.

My ‘03 had the black gas cap and trim ring around the fuel gauge. The cap had a couple paint chip spots but hadn’t been dropped. I was looking at some chrome replacements on the internet because I like the contrast look.A 92 cent bottle of nail polish remover got the look 🤷🏻‍♂️

You aren't the first, won't be the last, dont feel bad. Yesterday I did my 3rd oil change since having this bike. I still have to consult pictures every time. There's a lot going on under that engine and transmission and it's not exactly logical.

Put the V&H FuelPak3 on it a month ago. Dialed in the V&H V02 Intake and the Short Shots. Rode like a new bike in less than 10 miles. Runs a lot cooler now. No decel popping.

Put the FP3 into AutoTune last night and rode the **** out of it. Applied 3 samples after getting lots of Green Cells.. The bike runs WAY better!!
More low and high rpm power, smoother. Sounds and feels better (not scientific).

Best $400 spent ever.

I would suggest you verify if the bolts your using are black oxide stainless steel or black oxide 8740 steel

8740 will rust

There is black oxide over stainless hardware available but apparently not from ARP

I just called ARP tech and they are going to call me back to verify if their SS fasteners can be black oxide treated. This would be a great help to a lot of people who want black 12 points that won't rust.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I spoke with 2 techs both sounded like gophers when I asked them can I black oxide their SS12 point bolts.
All they could say is they don't recommend....when pressed as to why they didn't know
