Does anyone have these HD bags? I'm looking for something like these, preferably <$500.

I have a pair of Viking Bags right now which were the worst purchase ever, I can't wait to get them off the bike for good.

why would you have to helicoil that? man, that's child's play, unless I'm missing something, it appears only the head is stripped, there's numerous ways to attack that with no drama..........

Yeah, that looks like just a next size up torx head remedy ... tap it in there with a hammer just a bit, lefty loose it, throw it away, and stick a new one in. I've always had good luck with that method.

Nice ride! What's the orange wiring? Ironic in a way: isn't that what people call a "club style" Dyna?

the orange wiring is disk lock cables, so I don't forget to take em off. They are the Jax teller handle bars, not really my taste, they came with the bike. But they are comfortable, so they staying.

Now this is just an example 'cause I can't find the exact A.R.P. bolt link but ARP makes some nice replacements for the stock ones which appear to be made out of clay.

Yes, they are harder so don't screw up the threads in the cover itself. Yes, you won't have this problem again.

I say again, this in an example, there are other choices, I just took this as an example.

Cheers

well I guessed when he said bolt hole I thought he meant the hole the bolt went in...if it's the bolt head....that's not what he said...

If it was the bolt...those torx bolts suck....put some Allen heads in there...

looking at the picture the head looks to be beat up, that's what prompted my reply, I believe the issue with stripping the derby cover bolts is they are actually T27 torx but a T25 will fit, however, they strip with the T25 most of the time........
