Finally sorted out the saddlebag situation.

Willie & Max Black Jack bag. Fits perfect between the tail light and the shock. Just one, on the right side of the bike. Enough storage for what I need and doesn't screw up the look of the bike.

Love the look. We're looking for something like that on my wife's bike. Few questions though:

1. What did you use for attaching hardware (Willie & Max or other)?

2. Are the fender rails stock or aftermarket?

3. What is the bag in your signature block (she might need a little more capacity)?

Cheers,
Harm.

Let's see if I can answer all of the questions in one go round:

The larger bags in the signature block are Amazon bags that I paid $21 each for. They are a little longer, but not as deep as the Willie & Max bag. Ultimately, the W&M bags hold more. The Amazon bags are these:
Amazon Amazon

I attached the Amazon bags with zip ties around the side plates for the Harley detachable sissy bar on my bike. The fender rails are stock per a 2015 FXDB. The W&M bag is attached with thick cable ties.

...and you're right about maintainers...without them, nothing does anything!

Tired of red stock HD decals. Want to keep tank black. Any recommendations on decals, or badges...

Try finding someone with a vinyl decal business. You can make a mask of a design you like and paint over it for reverse relief. Or vinyl wrap tank and put vinyl decals over top...then if you get bored and want to change it, just peel of the wrap/decals and do something different. Custom vinyl wrap folks can also incorporate designs right into the wrap.

Worked on my carb issues with my uncle and cousin. swapped out my stock cv carb for one they had laying around. Bike ran better but replacement carb is lean. Trying to mix and match to make them work

Had a good test ride with the family though, so it wasnt a bad day after all.

Dropped my FXDL off for powder coat. It's gonna be a long couple weeks without a bike, but I've wanted to black it out since I picked it up, almost three years ago.
