Today so far I am temporarily placing the new emblems to find the sweet spot. this is obviously off:
Made the mistake of test riding a new Scorched Orange Road King Special. Didn't buy it of course but for $21k and $16k for the Dyna out the door, it's tempting.
There are two products, Lock-o-seal and Stat-o-seal. Stat-o-seal is one piece and Lock-o-seal the rubber is not bonded to the metal. They both work well when the hardware is correct. The only reason I can think of for the rubber to extrude out the side is if the OD of the banjo bolt is too large for the seal. There should be space for the rubber to compress into and make the seal.
Was going to take a little ride but had no electrical found loose ground wire to battery tightened it up and went and jeopardised my license for a couple hours!! Damn these dynas are fun!!

I replaced my gasket on my front brake master cylinder yesterday before a nice couple hour ride. Old gasket looked fine but something was off as the new one isn't leaking so that's a plus
Went to check out a pair of Heritage style LeatherLyke saddlebags, since one of mine fell off on a long ride, and got demolished by other vehicles coming behind me, and decided to get them for $60 (haggled down from $75). When I got home, and tried to install them, though, the mounting bracket wouldn't bolt up with the stock bolts (PO had them mounted on VTX1800, so bolt patter different), so I had to go to the hardware store to get the right ones. Hopefully, I can get them cleaned up and mounted tonight, before going on another ride tomorrow. Will have to have the bolts come from the inside of the fender out, to go onto the mount pieces that fit into the bags to lock on, but will probably have to flip the inside bracket around, with threaded hole at the rear instead of the front, since mounting bolts are very different sizes and threads (1 is really small - 10/32, and the other is big, but 1.5Xs more threads per inch than stock).
That's a cool bike ! What year is it ?
