What did you do to your Dyna today?
No offense taken. I understand the bags are what are on a lot of ADV bikes, but I don’t think my Dyna looks like a BMW. Main reason I did it, is because I could. I like going camping and this will make that happen nicely. Plus, these are a lot more rugged and waterproof than the vast majority of the bags you typically see on Harley’s.
Plus I can peel the luggage off in about a minute and have this:

Just back from a week in North Wales. Put over 1000 miles on the bike on some of the best mountain roads in the UK. My first big trip with the Low Rider S, and she's been awesome fun. Got a lot of ideas for upgrades to make her even better, but first the Scorcher tyres have to go. They're ok for just cruising around in the dry, but they suck at pretty much everything else.

I had started taking some of the Willie G stuff off by replacing the points and primary covers and started deciding how I want to change the look overall instead of piece mealing it so landed on taking most of the Willie G off and trying to get some of the weight off by stripping the excess bling. So far ordered some Ness mini short stem mirrors to replace the WG HD extended ones and some three finger levers to replace the long skulls. Removed the rocker bolt and WG HD axle covers. More to come and I'll get pictures when I'm done. Next looking maybe at footboards.
Put on a viking T-bar bag. Not sure how I feel about it, I can't see my phone with the angle of it with my bars in the clear pouch. I will either flip it to the other side and go back to my Ram mount and/or go back to my motopocket

Luggage rack
Well today I fashioned a rack to hang onto the luggage rack. I got the idea from a guy who made a hard plastic one online. Was gonna use plywood, but it was kinda bulky. Had some of this wire shelving up in the bedroom closet. Used a reciprocating saw to cut it to size (roughly the same size as my viking sissy bar bag, was kinda sagging before loaded up). Had some rubber tips to cover up the sharp edges.
Then wrapped any parts of the tray that will be in contact w/ the luggage rack so it doesn’t scratch anything. Got some 0.5 inch x 2 inch carriage bolts w/ some washers & wing nuts. Ended up using 2 bolts near the back of the rack w/ a washer on the bottom. Seems rock solid. Still thinking about somehow making some detachable legs for it so I could use it as a small table at the campsite. Any ideas, thx? Also got in a 70mi ride!

Went to WV yesterday. On the way home, felt like hitting icy patches. Took rear wheel off today. Lost my *** at the casino and my ***** on the road. If you have a HD, get a trailer too. 19,604 miles. Never again!
Still have gas cap though!
