Went on a 354 mile ride on Saturday to grab two poker chips. Gotta love that real cruise control.

Finishing up welding the top case mount for the QD bag setup on my bike. Will be leaving for a 2 week camping trip through Glacier National Park and surrounding areas this weekend.

Installed Vulcan compensator eliminator on my 2012 fatbob.

clutch and chain removal not required. Only rode a few miles, 250 for tomorrow. A little more vibes and noise. Shifts better and no worn out compensator noise. Lost 5# of weight hanging off crank. 20k and stock se comp beat up bad.

Not for sure if everything is, but I’m sure we’ll figure out some good roads. Pretty excited to put down some miles with my bro and pops!

Starting to figure the load out. Half day of work tomorrow and then we are gone.

@rbdub474 A serious question & no offense intended :
If you're going to spend time , money & effort to make it look like a BMW GS, why not just buy a BMW GS ?
Surely for what you seem to require , there are better platforms to start from ?

Why drop another 20k when he already has a Harley he can make do what he needs it to do? Maybe he just needs the luggage and not the need to go serious off-roading? I doubt it’s about looks...

No offense taken. I understand the bags are what are on a lot of ADV bikes, but I don’t think my Dyna looks like a BMW. Main reason I did it, is because I could. I like going camping and this will make that happen nicely. Plus, these are a lot more rugged and waterproof than the vast majority of the bags you typically see on Haley’s.

Plus I can peel the luggage off in about a minute and have this:

As far as the BMW GS, I’m going to be adding a new GS1250 Adventure to my stable this fall. Going to get the matte olive color, as my brother already has the red, white and blue one.
