Had to lay

my bike down 4 weeks ago and messed it up pretty good but new handles bars are on, cut the fender to make it work for now, and made it run again. First bike but I love it and love learning as I go, still have to swap the clutch cable but other than that she’s ready to go!

Replaced the mirrors on my bike yesterday. Thats the last of the de-skulling project from the previous owner. ETA on rear shocks I ordered is still 4-6 weeks out. Arriving tomorrow are some chrome caps to cover the points on the detachable saddle bags. That about wraps me up for this winter besides wanting to get some accessories (another helmet, backpack etc) and 5k service maintenance.

For the 5k maintenance; am I ok going to a private mechanic or should it go into the dealership? Its not under warranty. Oh and im having a problem w both the LED fuel gauge cap and low fuel indicator both telling me im low even on a full tank.

I do some of the 5K maintenance myself (Evo engine 3 hole oil changes, funky filter built into engine R side, etc) and have a trusted mechanic do the rest. Saves $, but no dealership I know will cooperate with doing it this way.
