What did you do to your Dyna today?
So this is pretty common then? That's good to hear. I was just taking a chance on it and figured if it didn't work I'm only out $5.
It seems it was a little too visceral for the men who were used to the smooth, even idle of their high end cars. I would even joke "We're men; we like things that jiggle." Or I would explain the increase in cost/weight/complexity of counter-balanced engines but some guys just didn't get it. As the years went by Dyna sales started lagging more and more behind. They were seen as in-between the entry level Sportster and the more refined Softail models.
I love my Dyna and the way it rumbles. It speaks my language.

I blame it on Acura, Lexus and other luxury automobile manufacturers. Back when I was selling bikes at HD dealerships I had many customers drawn to the Dyna's looks but put off by the "Dyna Shuffle" at idle.

Very nice and clean .... I'll have to store that one for later use... Thanks....
Today I removed the stock rear shocks and lowering blocks, also removed the down tube tool bag and the chrome reg cover.
Lastly, a picture of the new 2008 Wide Glide Triple Trees that will be installed
Edit: went out and messed around a litttle more. Installed the riser/clamp to the upper tree with a new polyurethane bushing set. Showing the chrome caps that will eventually cover the bolts underneath.
installed a chrome cover on the right axle end
