I just wonder about why the bigger spikes intermixed with the shorter ones, when you only put the shorter ones on the straps? Personally, I would think it would look better with all shorter spikes, but hey, that's just me. Nice work on the bar & shield, though!

Today I ordered a different/new clutch cable. I'll get it right one of these days.

Those tires don't last very long. Are you on rough pavement or are they a poor quality tire?

Got a bit of money for my 30th so trying to figure out how to spend it. New rear shocks are my priority. Don't have enough to go super high quality, and don't get too excited about a lot of the middle of the pack stuff. Thinking I'll get the Drag Specialties ride height adjustable ones. I know they're unpopular to some folks but I have a few friends who have them and have nothing bad to say about them. Figure that way I can maybe do one or two more things instead of waiting until I have the extra $$$ to spend a grand on shocks.

Also been doing a scavenger hunt all over the internet trying to get info on the weird 3rd saddlebag docking point that came on my bike. It replaces the shock spacer and hangs down below the shock. I took off the top two ages ago but will take it off when I do my shocks. Part numbers 90574-06 & 92139-06 (left and right). Work on older HD QD bags I think. If anyone is in the market for these let me know.

That's between 8500 and almost 10K, how long should a tire last?

I get about 15 thousand miles from Michelins. You are talking kilometers which is about half of a mile, 6/10 to be ex act. So are you only getting 4 to 5 thousand miles on your tires?

I have 19200 km on my OE Michelins now, that's 11712 miles.
The back one is finished but there's a bit of life left in the front one.
Will change both though....

I also got 11k out of my stock rear Michelin scorcher, I changed the front 1 size bigger Michelin camander 2 when I first got my 2012. I believe the Michelin are a great mileage tire but not so sticky. Avon cobra’s this time around.
