Is the VIN no longer stamped on the neck casting? Mine is, so I just peeled off those dumb stickers.

I agree with that. Currently have several bikes, and each one reacts differently to crosswinds. Once you learn how yours reacts, you should be more comfortable in the winds. Take care. tp dd50

It is, but it can be illegal depending on where you live so I'd rather not take the risk. It's been discussed here a few time but I did find this at Cornell Law:
A person who—
(1)

It's only illegal for mattress stores to remove the tag.

Have my bike in the shop now getting forward controls installed. Crappy, cold and rainy 30 mile ride in to the shop yesterday. I realize switching to forwards will take some getting used too and kinda worried about the initial ride back home. Better if I stick to the highway or slower back roads w more turns and stops?

I realize switching to forwards will take some getting used too and kinda worried about the initial ride back home. Better if I stick to the highway or slower back roads w more turns and stops?
