I had some extremely similar to those. I liked them but had to be mindful of what gloves I wore. Some gloves just didn't grip the leather. My synthetic/textile gloves worked best. Suede palms might also be good. Probably partly depends on if the gloves are oiled, too. I keep mine oiled...

I'm trying to soften up the front end a little. I like the handling but some bumps can jar the fillings. So, I am installing polyurethane riser bushings with at least some give, instead of the solid risers that have been on there, and installing some cushioned grips. I installed the progressive heavy duty fork springs a while back so now I am going to cut the spacers a quarter inch shorter in hopes that will help, also lower the front tire pressure a little. And maybe the +3 rake of the wide glide trip trees will help soften the blow a little, instead of the -1 of the fat bob trees that have been on the bike.

Aye, I just ordered a set of OEM riser bushings - every little bit will help I suppose. Hopefully it will all add up to a somewhat softer ride over those bumps. I can use the spacers and chrome pieces off the polyurethane set.
