Tried to go for a brisk 45F ride and discovered the zipper on my jacket is destroyed. Somehow I didn't notice that until now. Time to start researching new jackets.

Wait... Why don't you just make a mold for casting zipper links, build one out of the latest light-weight stainless alloy, and hand stitch it in using a fancy double-diamond stitch pattern with kevlar thread?

I'm no tailor. My mom is...that's how I know. It could absolutely be repaired but I figure I may as well take the opportunity to upgrade. I really want the best shoulder protection I can get.

Rode my bike to work, even though the weatherman said it was snowing. I had to take it easy, as things were slick, and temps were only in the mid-30s, so I had all my gear on, but overall it wasn't a "bad" ride. Hopefully, it will be better for the ride home this afternoon. When I heard it was already snowing, I would have normally taken my truck, but my son borrowed it last week, and hadn't returned it yet. He was supposed to be working on his car, but it's just been sitting in my driveway since he accidentally put power steering fluid in the oil, and he hasn't come over to change it out. Kids! Sometimes you just want to

I went to put the new chrome grips on the other night and realized the bottom switch housing screw on the throttle side fell out. So today I ordered a new set of screws for the switch housings. I'll use some blue Loctite this time. I think I'll put the new throttle cables on while I put the new grips on. I think that can be done without removing the fuel tank.

I've a couple throttle cable swaps with the tank on but that's with a Mikuni. Mot sure how the EFI throttle body complicates that.
