Awesome, I'm glad it worked out!!! Tip: I found those rod ends to get a little squeaky at times... A small shot of chain wax (NOT chain grease!) kept them quiet...

I can understand why the factory might have used rubber sleeves in the top stabilizer originally, since they were focused on isolating engine vibes from the rider... But they REALLY should have used a true turnbuckle design up there!

Was going to ride but the weather had other ideas. So decided to start stripping down the stock rear fender from my fxdls (I swapped to a standard one) and getting ready to practice some graphics work. Trying to progress my abilities.

My 2014 got:
  • New front master cylinder
  • New rear Brake Switch
  • New Rotors (Second hand off my low mile 2010)
  • Pads front and rear
  • 55k service (Oil and filter)
  • Primary OIl change.

I need to replace the engine mount then it will really feel like a new bike

I'm so embarrassed, I spent the day at work, came home, had a couple drinks, and listened to music. My bike was totally ignored. Oh well there's always tomorrow.
This is what I've been into tonight, from '73, the album that changed music beyond belief, forever. Listen and you will understand. Used to play in a band that did tunes like this, and also some of these actual tunes. What a blast that was. tp

A great week to all. tomp dd50

Herbie Hancock was what some people might say was ahead of his time. Good music, though. I have several of his albums. LOVE good jazz!! and good music in general.
You should check out the new Joe Bonamassa song/album Redemption. GOOD stuff!! The title song really got me.

Ordered a set of pirelli night dragons and new wheel bearings. Now to figure out what color I want to powder the wheels. So many choices.

Put about 100 miles on it and calibrated the speedo while out there. That's it.

Powdercoating took longer than expected but got all the parts and assembled the wheel, just waiting on my new Commander II to show up on Tuesday..

Broken spokes soon to be a thing of the past.
