Got back from a nice weekend of riding. Went down to TorC, NM, and took off on a couple nice long rides in the twisties west of there. Friday went to Silver City via 152 over the mountains, then down toward Deming, stopping at City of Rocks, and caught 26 over to Hatch before going back up 25 to TorC, and it was beautiful! Saturday went out 52 to a little "ghost town" named Chloride, just past Winston, NM, which was another twistie ride, with a couple of 10 mph double hairpin turns, and back along the same route. It was GREAT FUN!! Planning on doing something like that again next year, too.
Adjusted the drive chain tension, got the brake pedal pad installed properly, cleaned some stubborn schmutz off the rims, put the mirrors on and tried to adjust them only to discover I'll need to order some offset adapters to clear the tank, and swept up a bunch of broken glass. (8' fluorescent tube exploded).
I just installed custom dynamics led turn signals and installed their equalizer. From what I’ve read the leds don’t pull as much power and makes the bike think a bulb is blown. If yours are flashing fast that is?
Yes, I had the quick flashing indicators and also the Red Key light on dash was staying on. I took out the LED bulbs and found that 3 were the same, 1 was different. I bought some super white 1157 bulbs for the front and rear. But, I bought the wrong bulbs for the rear, thought they were 1157s, actually are 1156s. Well, for giggles , I plugged in two of the existing LED bulbs that were in before and did a test. No red key light, and no more hyper flashing. Front is bright. I guess 3 of the existing LED's (They look like LEDS, so I am assuming they are) have little resistors in the bulb area. The one LED bulb didn't. I am thinking that the lone LED bulb was the culprit. Now, I have what looks to LEDs in the rear and basic bulbs in the front. Still looks bright enough..
Now, next up is getting the rear indicators to be used as running lights. That's just a plug I can buy. That's up next.
No, they made the trip home OK. I wrapped them in paper towels to keep them from clanking together or banging the window. They stuck out like three feet and I got some odd looks from people, but IDGAF.
I had an old one propped up against the fixture while I was putting in the new one and it fell over. Of course I was barefoot. Sometimes I'm very Homer Simpson.
BTW, pulling glass splinters out of your foot with tweezers just results in broken-off glass splinters in your foot. Got some by scraping with a razor but it was mostly futile.
With age comes wisdom, unless you are a biker, and for some unknown reason, it just ain't true.(I include myself in the one)

Spent about 5 hours detailing the bike in preparation for the BC Moto Invitational show at the Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival this weekend.
Riding is is definitely more fun than cleaning.
Yep, and my '09 Ninja has never been washed. Wiped with Plexus, but washed only when ridden in the rain. Still looks good after almost nine years on the road. The FLD needs some attention, since it was recently exposed to salt air, when in Galveston. I love the salt air, but the Harley surely doesn't...
I replaced the broken horn bracket on my LR last night. These seem to fail routinely. Last night's torrential rains moved out. The roads were soaked this morning but it wasn't raining, so I hopped on the bike and rode to work. The bike is dirty, my gear is dirty, but I'm happy as a clam. (How do we know clams are happy, anyway??)
