Hey, thanks! It's not a done deal yet, tho. Still have to get some parts back from powder, cross fingers that it starts, finish welding the tank, and pray it doesn't rain.
If all that comes together, it's on.
Still won't be finished, though. Will still have to prep and paint the tank, make a few small custom trim pieces, modify the peg clevises, tune the suspension, detailed alignment, and maybe a few other details.

Got the wheels bolted on yesterday and wired up the dirty air ride system today. So far so good, now to working the front fender. I know 23/18 set up isn’t everyone’s cup of tea or the mammoth spoke, but if we all liked the same thing we’d all be riding the same dang bike!!! Hahaha
Those wheels look very nice. I see the spokes are drawn radially without crossing each other. I've been told (many years ago) that they won't be as strong as a "cross 3" pattern. Dunno as the only spokes I've snapped were indeed, a cross 3 pattern!
But yer bike does look sharp. (I'm glad I won't have to clean those wheels!)

Maybe I'm the odd one here, but I just don't 'get' the whole "tall thin front tire" thing. Do you miss your "big wheel" from when you were a kid so much that you have to make your bike look like it now? LOL
I think the inspiration for this trend comes in part from cycling history...when cycles including those with motors had large diameter tires because of the reduction in rolling resistance over uneven ground. Think Board Trackers ...so if you were to mod that style to a more modern cycle you get different perspectives.
Extending the look to the rear wheel just has not caught on, likely from it being difficult to execute mechanically and the lack of contact patch for modern power, Also they don't offer what is considered a comfortable riding position if you implement the full look. ie very high small seat like a bicycle.
There also could be a part from the caricature looking sketches done by stylists which often accentuate the wheels.
I went with a wide 21 and narrow'ish 18 on my swtichback to get a more retro look.

There's a lot of riders that like the larger diameter front wheel / tire that never owned a big wheel....like me
